advanced excimer laser systems, the Nidek EC-5000 and the VISX
Star S4. These two laser systems give us the ability to treat
the widest range of refractive correction. No other vision correction
surgeon in the area utilizes two distinct excimer laser systems.
Excimer laser systems utilize invisible ultraviolet light to
shape the cornea during refractive surgery. Each pulse of this
extremely accurate cool laser light removes only a minimal amount
of corneal tissue. Considerably less than the thickness of a
human hair.
